I might edit this whole section soon....shorten it up a bit.. erm just go to http://www.myspace.com/mtlmarkara or http://youtube.com/user/markara7 to know a little more than you want to know about me if you are reading this, you must be really bored~!, hey and might as well add me as a friend if you want :D so msg me sometime oki oki [but tell me you saw me on animepaper or else i might deny yah] +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ design/art-wise here are some random things about me: Style: chaotic, random, hectic, stacks of layers wtf Favorite design/art mags: ComputerArts www.computerarts.co.uk , ImagineFX, Digit, 3DWorld, PhotoshopCreative PC specs as of March2008: OC'd AMD Operton 165 @ 2.25GHz, 2GB GSkill RAM, EVGA 9600GT 512MB/DDR3, 22" Westinghouse LCD, Wacom Intuos3 tablet, Logitech G9 laser mouse, WindowsVistaUltimate32bit Photoshop exp: about 6 years or more [the noob years dont really count heh] Knowledge: i learned half of the stuff in photoshop by myself and the rest was through the help of books. After a while, youll notice almost all the books say the exact same thing! im serious! and theres still alot i dont know. id probably say i know about 50% of what PS can do, and some stuff i dont need to know how to use This is the FIRST wallpaper i ever made when i first got PS i didnt know what i was doing and look at me now :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v94/mtlsharpnel/AyuTek_1024.jpg MISC: when i make something, i usually stay up all night [or early morning] making it because i cant stop until i think im done. and i dont post it unless im satisfied. suggestions are nice, but its not often i find useful suggestions from other people because my work is so crazy~! *flips out* and thus its really hard for me to comment on peoples work because everyone works differently and has different approach to styles. Youll really only see me post enthusiasticly on people who have good potential.if you think my comments are "mean" or "rude" then its obvious you probably shouldnt be designing in the first place because you cant accept bad comments or repsonses. Everyone will have an opinion on your posted works, the ones that have guts will actually say what they really think, while others dont know what they are talking about and will post a million smileys and say "nice try". Nice try? is the worst thing you could ever say to someone. Basically they are quickly trying to say "you suck" in fewest words as possible. Me, im a little different because ill say what i think should be said and i wish there were more people like me around who spoke their mind. I love FOR PEOPLE TO TEAR APART MY WORK Its how i learn from my mistakes. good comments just lets me know that im doing pretty daym good. so thanks in advance if you like my junk. Its funny when i see people on here who comment so much on people stuff and yet have little or NO artwork posted. **************wp/design concepts i hate [the truth comes out]::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: + big-life-size-head-wallpapers...they freak me out~! not only that they take up more than half the canvas, so that leaves you with like 30% of space to get creative. good luck!+ wallpaper made to look like pile of photo's...boring & uninspiring. esp now a days where not many people make prints of their photos cuz they are all digital. + dreamy stuff with stars, moons, space, nebulas, milky way, kit kats, etc...i dont have nice dreams [well, besides wet dreams!], so this is a real design turnoff. floating in space heh...yeah like how long can you really last in space without a suit? wont even take me that long to look away + POP TARTS...almost the same description as the one above..but its bascially stuff "sprinkled" all over the place + borders/designs made from other peoples brush sets.....doode stop, you are just hurting yourself. its not original or creative. brushes are teh suck! + titles/subtext that purposely stick out of nowhere or just slapped on....cant tell you how annoyed i get when i see this all the time...jeez its such a waste of space. incorporate text into or around your design or dont have any text at all. Go look through some typography books before you put txt in your work. + Ghosting = duplicating the same image, enlarging it, and lowering the opacity...that looks ghey and shows no effort into making a bg. + vectoring images that were boring to begin with. just because an image is going to be easy to vector because of the simplicity of the pose, that doent mean its gonna look good in a bg. what im seeing often is people just vectoring something and having trouble making a nice bg, which pretty much ruins all the time you spent on vectoring in the first place. + FILTERWHOR+TUTORWHOR+BRUSHWHOR + "land of the rising sun" lines that go out from a central point...oks oks, its asian, i get it and i hate it + COLORS: know your colors and what they are called + CIRCLES...that style is like over 3 years ago. its been played out [with some exceptions]. move on! you wanna see how old circles are? i did this back in 2002!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v94/mtlsharpnel/layoutStyle-1152.jpg , im no longer an AyumiH fan btw anyways.. i tend to help out people more when i can tell they have some creative ideas if they just started out... *prepares for hatemail* X_X i still love you ...seriously, im really a nice guy ^_^ Try make something WITHOUT the things im mentioned above...i can assure you that you will start to work more creatively.... [wtf i suddenly started to give tips to strangers..thats rare. but i knew people would read this part] :D see i got you! This flood detection crap is pissing me off, so you wont see me posting often from now on. Dont worry i got more stuff coming for yah. just gotta put the ideas on paper. currently addicted to screenshot vectoring. it gives me a reason to rewatch animes for those good frames and large pictures that are panned. its like a hidden scan. also kinda fun to redraw parts of it becuase its cutoff or simply too blurry/pixelated. ive gotten alot faster at it also. my first pic of Haruhi took like 2 days to finish and now im making vectors in about 2 hours after learning some shortcuts some of my scans dont get accepted tho ;/ those seem to be the ones i spent the most time on.... support your local Dallas anime store >>> http://www.animepopshop.com/ http://www.beeknown.com
